it[ was] my birthday. mkd inspired me a few years ago by asking friends for mixed cds as birthday presents. cheap enough that anyone can do it, but personal enough that the giver doesn't feel like they are skimping.

recently, i made my little jplayer playlister after the incident with my brother's MP3 cd from 2003(?). i thought i could mix the two ideas. since loads of people digitize their music these days, i can ask for song recommendations...and have them upload directly to this site. then, i can (using a variant of the jplayer playlister) showcase the songs that people have been kind enough to recommend.
